Oceaneering International
Oceaneering is a market leader in engineered services and products, including robotic solutions deployed on land, underwater, and in space.
Oceaneering began in 1969 as a diving company serving the burgeoning oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Through the years, we have leveraged our extensive underwater expertise to become a leading designer, manufacturer, and provider of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for offshore energy, science and research, and defense purposes.
Our advanced technologies adhere to rigorous safety standards and enable safer work environments and reduced carbon emissions while achieving operational excellence.
Oceaneering’s ROVs offer tough, reliable service for the full asset life cycle anywhere in the world. We offer the largest fleet of ROVs and associated ROV tooling.
We continue to lead the way on remote ROV piloting since 2004. Oceaneering established a dedicated onshore remote operation center (OROC) in Stavanger, Norway, in 2016. To date, it has accumulated over 70,000 hours of remote ROV piloting from shore. Using an OROC decreases health and safety risks to personnel, increases collaboration between stakeholders, and reduces carbon emissions from mobilizing personnel to go offshore.
Our next generation Freedom™ AUV subsea vehicle pushes the boundaries of autonomy and remote work capabilities, using machine learning for better decision making and asset maintenance.
Our Isurus™ ROV was adapted to meet the challenges faced by offshore renewables developments. Featuring a hydrodynamic design, the Isurus is a high-speed, work class vehicle capable of operating in currents exceeding 2.5 knots.
Our Global Explorer ROV is tailor-made for the scientific research community. The ROV offers a complete suite of scientific tools for mid-water and benthic sampling. Its manipulator arm extracts fragile coral and artifacts with delicate precision.
We continuously develop technology and hardware for a variety of applications designed to meet high standards for safety and reliability.
Our Mobile Robotics segment offers autonomous mobile robots to conduct operation-critical material handling processes.
Our Entertainment segment is a leader in themed entertainment ride engineering, providing dark ride systems for theme parks. We also offer self-guided driverless group transit vehicles, which provide a safe and environmentally friendly means of transportation in virtually any weather conditions.
Our Aerospace and Defense Technologies group is focused on the design, development, manufacturing, certification, maintenance, testing, and engineering for space-based robotics and automation, satellite servicing, human space flight systems, and thermal protection systems.
Our unmatched experience and advanced engineering capabilities enable us to adapt and evolve to safely meet the current and future demands of all the industries we serve including the defense, aerospace, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, science and research, and entertainment industries.
